Anthony Nicholas Cetrone's Obituary
Anthony Nicholas Cetrone, age 80, passed away on Sunday August 1, 2021.
He was born in Philadelphia, PA to Nino and Dalphina (Ianni) Cetrone and spend most of his life in the area. He is survived by his two daughters, Helena C Briggs, and Patricia C Gibbs: his two granddaughters, Kathryn, and Alaina Briggs; and sister Marlene Krasas. He will join his siblings Andrew Cetrone, Carmen Cetrone, and Greta Centrone in eternal rest.
Tony graduated high school from St. Thomas More and began his 55+ career in the food products industry. He started as a meat cutter in a local shop and grew his profession into an award-winning sales profession with major food producers. His strength was always in building strong relationships and a willingness to open new markets in Maryland and Buffalo. He was the youngest of 5 and was dedicated to both of his parents in their twilight years. Tony’s cooking skills made him an exceptional host and he remained dedicated to preserving and teaching his Italian family recipes. He loved to serve a little bit of everything so everyone could “just pick”. He enjoyed Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond football, dancing, travel, and many long walks with Emma, the family dog.
A private funeral will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the American Cancer Society.
Justin Cronin wrote, “As long as we remember a person, they’re not really gone. Their thoughts, their feelings, their memories, they become a part of us.”
