Angela Juanita Hasty's Obituary
Angela Juanita Hasty, age 72, passed away at her home in Crownsville, Maryland on March 11, 2026. She was born on December 5, 1953 to Paul Deese and Virginia Juanita (Morris) Deese in Monroe, North Carolina. Angie was a 1972 graduate of Garinger High School in Charlotte, North Carolina. After graduation, she immediately entered the workforce. She began her career in property management, which led her to a long time career with the Prince George's County Housing Authority where she retired as a supervisor.
Angie was a fun-loving people person that never met a stranger. She loved and cared immensely about her family and friends. She was a woman of strong Christian faith,
and enjoyed dedicating her time to bible study groups, fellowship and witnessing.
Angie's favorite pastime was reading. She enjoyed watching the Orioles, Maryland basketball and the Dallas Cowboys. She also looked forward to her yearly family beach vacations to the Carolinas. She had a lifelong love for pet dachshunds.
Angie led a simple but fulfilled life, always keeping her focus on family. She believed that the most meaningful moments weren't found in grand achievements, but in everyday time spent with the people she loved. Whether it was sharing meals, celebrating small milestones, or offering support during difficult times, family remained at the center of everything she did. Her dedication created a warm and steady home where love, kindness, and togetherness were always present.
Angie was a devoted Mimi to her three grandsons. She enjoyed going to the movies with Alex, talking with Ben about family history and attending his sporting events. She guided Camden through everyday life events.
Angie is survived by her two daughters, Jenny Laine Morgan (Sam), and Jamie Leigh Kirschner, as well as grandsons, Alexander Morgan, Benjamin Morgan, and Camden Kirschner. She is also survived by her siblings, Mitchell Deese (Tracy), Todd Pope (Nancy) and Teresa Allen (Barry). As well as many nephews and nieces; Garrett (Colleen) Jeremy, Josh (Ashley), Amber (Daniel), Kristen (Zach) and Michael (Kristie). Preceded in death by her beloved husband and best friend of 44 years, James Leroy Hasty. Also preceded in death by her parents; Virginia Juanita Morris Pope and Richard S. Pope. She is also survived by numerous family and friends that loved her dearly.
The visitation will be held on Saturday, March 21 from 4:00-5:00 pm with the service beginning at 5:00 pm at Lasting Tributes, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. Following the service, we invite friends and family for a celebration of life at The Morgan's.
