Andrea Albertha Gough's Obituary
Andrea Gough, better known as “Peanut”, daughter of the late Barbara
Kent Johnson and Alonzo Johnson. Andrea was born on August 4, 1954,
in Harlem, NY on Lennox Ave. God called her home and she entered
into eternal rest on November 25, 2024.
Peanut attended school in Anne Arundel County Public Schools. Andrea
graduated from Annapolis Senior High Class of 1972. Andrea furthered
her education by attending Fleet Business School with a Certification in
1974. She also attended Anne Arundel Community College. Peanut
could speak Pig Latin and French.
Andrea retired after 30 years of employment as A Records Supervisor
for the State of Maryland Assessment & Taxation Department.
Peanut enjoyed reading, gambling, doing puzzles, swimming, playing
cards, watching old movies, listening to music; ESPECIALLY PRINCE,
traveling, going to casinos, shopping and playing games on her tablet
FOR HOURS!! She also loved spending quality time with her family and
friends.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her
brother Alonzo “Hookie” Johnson, sister, Bonnie Sembly, brother in laws
Majestic Jr., Lloyd, Alvin Gough and Wade “Skippy” Brown.
Andrea leaves to cherish her loving memories to her devoted husband
Gardner Gough, married in Las Vegas in 1994 being together for 52
years. Daughter An’gel Shanika Gough, Grandson Omari Belt, sister
Barbara Jean Johnson. Sister-in-laws Gwendolyn Nicholson, Sabrina
Brown, Sandy Bishop, Yvonne Coates, Yvette Brown, Gaynelle Graves,
Danielle Edwards, Danita Brown and Lisa Jones. Brother-in-law Clifton
Gough. Grand dog Cartier (Carti) who she adored and fell in love with.
She treated him like her baby. A devoted cousin Michael Howe.
Devoted nephews Kent Barnard, Joseph “Joey” Sembly Jr. and Deon
Gough. Close friends Patricia Taylor, Brenda Jones, Panny and
Thomasine Crowner. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
