Alice Jean Evans' Obituary

Alice Jean (Bello) Evans, 90, of York, PA and formerly of Severn, MD passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2020. Alice was born on August 14, 1929 in Stamford, CT to the late William J. Bello and the late Evelyn M. (Morganti) Bello. She graduated from Stamford High School, earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Bridgeport, and a Masters in Library Science from the University of Maryland. Alice retired from Anne Arundel County Public Schools after her career as elementary school librarian at Odenton Elementary School and Glen Burnie Park Elementary School.
Alice loved her family and treasured the time she was able to spend with them. Alice enjoyed going to the theater, traveling, boating in the Chesapeake Bay, knitting, gardening, crossword puzzles, and, of course, reading! Alice’s smile was contagious and she will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years who she met in Okinawa, CW2 (US Army Ret.) Eugene L. Evans, and her sister JoAnn E. Bello O’Connell.
Alice is survived by her daughter Karen M. Seiser, son-in-law Vernon R. Seiser, and granddaughter Emily M. Seiser, brother William M. Bello, as well as many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Alice will join her late husband at Crownsville Veterans’ Cemetery at a later date.
