Alexander Leon Gray Jr.'s Obituary
Alexander Leon Gray, Jr., also known as “Poogy, Man, Alex,” died suddenly at the age of 38 on Sunday, September 25, 2022. We are honored to have been blessed by his presence and his untimely death has saddened our hearts immensely.
Alex received his education through the Anne Arundel County Public School System. He was employed by various moving companies including Office Movers and VIP Transport where he became the warehouse manager. Alex followed his passion for entrepreneurship by opening several successful businesses such as his recording studio and production company that catered to helping youths in the community. Alex highly believed in empowering people to become the best version of themselves. His businesses also included car detailing, photography, T-shirt designing and many more.
Alex loved spending time with his daughter, Alexis, whom he called “Big Baby.” He enjoyed entertaining, hosting family gatherings, throwing parties, and DJing. His hobbies were fishing, cooking, drawing, and tattooing. He also had a love for animals, especially dogs.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Alexander and Matilda Gray and Edward Collins; great-grandparents, Joseph and Mary Creek, Benjamin and Henrietta Collins, George and Ellen Gray, John and Ella Washington.
Alex leaves to cherish his memory, parents, Betty Collins and Alexander Gray, Sr.; one daughter, Alexis Leann Gray; one brother, Trevon Gray; two grandmothers, Josephine Creek (George) and Alice Washington; two godmothers, Theresa Burley and Betty Pickford; one goddaughter, Jakyah Anderson; one godson, Deontay Burley; three godsisters, Tyra Mitchell, Dakira Munford and Doreatha Hopkins; one godbrother, Antonio (Tony) Savage; very special children, Danyce Robinson, King Dior, Samiyah Taylor, Christian Bailey and Isaiah Dyson; two special cousins, Joseph (JR) Gross, Jr. and Robert Isaac, III; two devoted cousins, more like brothers, Antonio (Tony) Savage and Robert (Little Bob) Galloway; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
