Albert J. Bodley
December 24, 1936 – December 18, 2023
Albert was born in Annapolis, MD to the late Isaac Bodley and Elizabeth Johnson. He was the third sibling out of 5.
Albert is preceded in death by his parents, Isaac Bodley and Elizabeth Jackson; stepmother, Alice Bodley; stepfather, William Jackson; brothers, John Bodley and Isaac B. Bodley; and great-grandson, Kewan.
Albert worked for Mayflower Storage Company in his early years. He then worked for the U.S. Naval Academy for 35 years. First, in the U.S. Naval Laundry Service then, transferred to the Transport Department.
Albert enjoyed watching T.V., westerns, karate, and action movies. He was an avid fan of the Baltimore Ravens; and enjoyed eating crabs. Albert was a former member of Elk Lodge 175 of Annapolis, MD. He always had a smiley face.
He leaves to cherish his memory, a loving daughter, Wanda Lewis (Robert); grandsons, Burton Miller and Traavon Lewis; bonus granddaughter, Brittany Ford; great-grandsons, Ronchè Kaskin (Shay), Hakeem Miller (Nae), Jaden Miller, Khaja Stansbury, and T.J. Lewis; great-granddaughters, Chyna Lewis and Keweà Miller; great-great-grandsons, Logan, Landen, and Leland Kaskins, and Armoni Miller; one sister, Carrie Barbara Ann Taylor; one brother, Roland Bodley; one sister-in-law, Martha Bodley; former wife, Vernell Alston Bodley, along with her children, Denise Artis (Eddie), Michael and Moses Alston, and Marvin Williams; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
