Akia Nicole Dillard's Obituary
Akia “Kia” Nicole Dillard 46 of Annapolis Maryland was born on November 4, 1976. She gained her wings and entered eternal rest on December 29, 2022.
Akia, also known as “Kia” “Dill” and ``Dillard” lived her life to the fullest. She brought her infectious smile, her story telling jokes, and laughter to everyone she encountered. No matter the location or where you saw her, you couldn’t leave her without a permanent smile on your face and a gut wrenching pain in your belly from laughing so hard. She had a pure heart of gold and gave you whatever she had. She was truly a delightful spirit and a ball of positive energy.
She received her education through the Anne Arundel County Public School System. She was employed at The Annapolis Seafood Market for six years leading up until its closing of the doors. She dedicated her life to raising and providing for her children.
Kia loved Bingo and it brought her much joy taking care of her family and friends. She especially loved spending time with her grand baby girl who she called “her BB”
Cooking was one of her favorite things to do and even if she didn’t do it well, when you ever visited with her you knew that she would not let you leave without eating some. She also enjoyed going out with her friends, listening to go-go music and making wherever she was standing her dance floor. She was truly the “life of any party” and will be missed deeply.
Akia is preceded in death by her late father Lorenzo Dillard, (who she would affectionately call ““my daddy”), Godmother; Judy Coates, Grandmother; Thelma Edwards, Uncles; Sylvester and Wilbur Dillard, favorite Great Aunt; Sara Butler, and Nephew; Jaylin King.
