Adam Edward Smith's Obituary
Adam Edward Smith, a commercial fisherman of Shadyside passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 7, 2014.
Adam is predeceased by his mother, Shirley Hensley-Buser, his maternal grandparents Clara and Frank Hensley and his brother Dustin Edward Smith.
Adam is survived by his daughter, Ryleigh Smith; her mother Erika Smith; father William E. Smith; stepmothers Bonnie Smith and Susan Smith; brother Matthew Smith; sister Amy Buser; stepsister Kelly Schwartz; stepbrother Dennis Lowe; grandparents Bill and Jane Smith, and loving nieces, nephews and many other relatives.
Adam was born in North Carolina, Camp LeJeune, on February 7, 1975. He graduated from Severna Park High School in 1993. At the age of fourteen Adam started working on the water as an apprentice to Captain Charles (Charlie) Quade. Later, Adam obtained his own TFL. During his career he purchased two boats the “Ms. Suzie” and the “Southern Pride.” In 2006, Adam married Erika Norgard Smith and they have one daughter, Ryleigh Gayle Smith, who is now seven.
Adam enjoyed the outdoors especially hunting, crabbing, and fishing. Most of all Adam loved spending time with his daughter, Ryleigh.
The funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church located at 5907 Deale Churchton Road Deale, MD 20751 on November 22nd at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Mayes officiating. In lieu of flowers a college fund has been set up for his daughter, Ryleigh.
