A public viewing will be held on Tuesday, June 1 from 5-7 pm at Lasting Tributes Cremation and Funeral Care, 814 Bestgate Road, Annapolis, MD. His funeral service will take place on Wednesday, June 2 at First Christian Community Church, 1800 Apostle Johnson Way, Annapolis, MD at 11:00 am. There will not be a public viewing prior to his funeral service. Burial will follow at Asbury Broadneck UMC Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Stanley’s name to either Bello Machre (7765 Freetown Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21060) or Providence Center (930 Point Pleasant Road, Glen Burnie, MD 21060). Stanley Charles Thomas was born on September 14, 1945 in Mulberry Hill, Maryland. Stanley was 75 years old. Stanley entered into eternal life on Sunday, May 23, 2021, after a brief illness. He is the son of the late Upton and Alexina Thomas. Stanley gave his life to Christ at a very young age and joined Asbury Broadneck United Methodist Church with his family. Stanley was an Acolyte for many, many years. Stanley enjoyed attending church and participating in every song that was sung. Standing an giving God the Glory each and every Sunday is what brought him joy. You could see him standing and rocking and singing as Alvin began to play his favorite song, (all of them). Stanley's infectious "smile" would be a light to everyone's heart. Each member of Asbury Broadneck United methodist Church family and his family has had that special "Stanley Hug". Stanley was a resident of Bello Machre and enjoyed working at the Providence Center. Stanley leaves to treasure his memories, 3 brothers: Upton Thomas (Sripair), Dwight Thomas (Sarah), Ralph Thomas (Virginia); 3 sisters: Janice Mack, Cynthia Dark, Ruth Parker (Rodney); and 1 sister-in-law, Beverly Taylor. Stanley is preceded in death by 2 brothers: James Allen Thomas and Harold Taylor. He also leaves 6 nieces, 10 nephews, 13 great nieces, 11 great nephews, 3 great great nieces, 1 great great nephew, and a host of cousins and friends.
