Gary Charles Hileman

Gary C. Hileman of Annapolis, Maryland passed away after a brief battle with cancer on April 15, 2022. He was 65. He was born on Christmas Eve and died on Good Friday. Gary was born in Ft. Belvoir Army Hospital in Fort Belvoir, VA. Gary grew up in Alexandria, VA and attended Groveton High School where he was captain of the football team. He graduated from Virginia Tech in 1979. Gary had an extraordinarily successful professional career in the tower crane sales and leasing business. Gary was a top producer, having honed his skills, relationships, and knowledge with over 40 years in the industry. Most recently Gary served as the Division Manager for United Crane & Rigging located in Baltimore, Maryland. Gary married Alissa Bond in 1988 and moved to Severna Park, MD in 1994 where they raised their two daughters. Gary loved life and had a wide circle of friends. He was enthusiastic about all sports but particularly the Baltimore Ravens where he attended virtually every home game. He loved to play golf and to watch old classic movies. Gary enjoyed jazz and blues music and was a frequent flyer of the Rams Head shows. But his favorite pastime was hanging out with his friends in his treasured town of Annapolis. Gary is predeceased by both his father and mother, Leroy, and Betty Hileman. Gary is survived by his beloved daughters, Katherine (Katie) Hileman and Kristin Hileman, both of Baltimore, MD, his sister, Diane Hileman, (Bobby Wilkinson) Rosslyn, VA, his brother Robert Hileman (Jeannette), Southport, NC, nephews and grand nieces and nephews, his former wife Alissa Bond, Annapolis, MD and his partner, Alice Estrada, Annapolis, MD. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, April 23rd, 2022, from 1-4 pm at the Stella's Stern and Keel Marina at the corner of State and Chester Street in Eastport. (Across from the Democratic Club). In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Interrobang Theatre Company https://interrobangbaltimore.org/support, which was founded by his daughter Katie.
