CHARLOTTE KERTENNIS BUSSIERE ANNAPOLIS, MD: Charlotte Joyce (Kertennis) Bussiere, 82, died peacefully on December 30, 2020, at Anne Arundel Medical Center with her daughter, Kernan by her side. She was born on May 20, 1938 in Northeastern Connecticut, the youngest of six children of Lithuanian immigrants, Michael C. Kertennis and Sophie (Linkewicz) Kertennis. Charlotte grew up in Rogers, CT and graduated Killingly High School in 1956. After school, she met Richard E. Bussiere. The two wed, had two daughters, and lived in Danielson, CT. Charlotte had unrelenting energy, a sharp sense of humor, and a love for family and friends. She is remembered as a Catholic, an avid reader, baker, tenacious salesperson, sun goddess, fervent Republican, and fashionista. She is predeceased by her husband, her parents, her brothers, Michael, Victor, and John, and her sister, Josephine (Kertennis) Gasiorek. She is survived by her daughters, Cindy Bussiere (Robert Sheehy) of Irving, TX, Kernan Bussiere (Christian Zazzali) of Annapolis, MD, her grandchildren, Sam and Haley Sheehy of Boston, MA, Parker and Isabella Zazzali of Annapolis, MD; and her sister, Alice (Kertennis) Comtois of Brooklyn CT. A celebration of her life will take place in July 2021 in Danielson, CT.
